Navigate to Banking Module: Click on the Sidebar menu, then select the Banking module.
Access Connected Accounts: Within the Banking module, click on the Connected accounts submodule.
Upload Statement: On the connected accounts listing page, locate the "Upload statement" option.
Initiate Upload Process: Click on the "Upload statement" button to begin the process.
Import Bank Transactions Page: You will be redirected to the Import bank transactions page.
Download Sample File: Download the sample file provided on the page for guidance.
Upload Your File: Click on the "Upload file" button and select your CSV, XLS, or XLSX file (maximum file size: 5 MB).
Select Account Type: Choose an account type from the dropdown or create a new account by filling in details like account type, account name (mandatory), tax, account currency, account ID, and description.
Map Amount Column: Select the appropriate Amount column type from the dropdown: single column, double column, or single column with negative values.
Mapping Fields: Depending on the Amount column type selected:
Double Column: Date, Withdrawals, Deposits, Description, Date format, Withdrawal amount, Deposit amount, Opening balance.
Single Column: Date, Amount, Description, Date format, Amount format, Withdrawal or Deposit, Opening balance.
Single Column with Negative Values: Date, Amount, Description, Date format, Amount format, Opening balance.
Error Handling: After mapping, click "Next." If there are errors, they will be displayed on screen. You can rectify errors directly on this screen if they are manageable within one view.
Download Error File: Download an error file if errors are detected, which highlights issues in yellow for easy identification.
Preview and Import: If no errors or after rectifying them, click "Next" to preview transactions to be imported. A popup will show details like Ready to import files number, Duplicate records, and Unmapped fields.
Confirm Import: Click "Import" to proceed. Upon successful import, you'll see a message confirming "Bank transactions imported successfully."
Handling Duplicates: If the entire statement is duplicate, you'll receive an alert preventing duplicate imports. For partial duplicates, review highlighted transactions and choose to "Cancel and Import" or make necessary changes.
Currency Conversion: If handling different currencies, the collective available balance will be converted to the business currency based on the current day's exchange rate.
